How to earn WoW Arena Points
You can participate in 3 teams, one for each division, but you'll only get arena points from the team that earns the most.
You get points at the end of each week, only if you have played the 30% of the games of your team. Your team must play at least 10 games each week.
2vs2 teams have maximum 4 members, 3vs3 teams have maximum 6 members and 5vs5 teams have maximum 10 members.
The team who wins has its rating go up, while the team who loses has theirs go down. If a strong team defeats a weak team, their increace is small. However, if a weak team beats a strong team, their increase is tremendous (while the strong team loses a lot)
How WoW Arena Calculator Works
The script is running based on the following function:
X = Team Rating, Y = Arena Points
If X<=1500: Y = 0.22 * Rating + 14
(note: this calculation can go negative, but will be floored at 0)
If X>1500: Y =1511.26/(1 + 1639.28 * 2.71828 power(-0.00412*X))
2v2 teams earn 76% of the points of a 5v5 team with the same rating
3v3 teams earn 88% of the points of a 5v5 team with the same rating
